  • Listen carefully to what Annie and Moby have to say about a story's main idea.

  • After watching the video, click on the link below and read the day's vocabulary words.

  • When you're done reading the vocabulary words, click on the link below. It will take you to the "Talk About It" link from the Brain Pop Jr. Website.

  • Here you will write a sentence about what you think the main idea was in "The Brave Monkey Pirate".

  • Underneath that sentence, write three facts that support the main idea.

  • Make sure to tell Mrs. Welmer when you're done so she can print out the work you've done!

  • Once you're done with your main idea sentences, close the web browser, and open the program on the desktop called "Tux Paint". You will be using Tux Paint to draw a picture of what you thought the main idea of the story was. Be as creative as you want!

  • If you finish all of today's activities, tell Mrs. Welmer, and pick a book from our bookshelves for some quiet reading.
